Make your visit to the Finger Lakes REALLY special with a thrilling ride on the Special. This very rare James Anthony Runabout was custom built for the personal enjoyment of a very prominent American hero. This beauty features rich mahogany decks, "barrel back" stern, plumb bow, raked windshield, through-hull exhausts and 800 horsepower. That's right!! The Special is the ride of a lifetime. Easily exceeding 50 MPH she is like no other thrill.

All rides depart from Silver Strand, located on the west shore of Cayuga Lake, 20 miles north of Ithaca and 20 miles south of Seneca Falls. The regular tour consists of a cruise past historic Sheldrake featuring numerous Victorian homes with period boathouses and gardens. Then, a high speed run up the lake to Aurora with a leisurely cruise past Wells college and more Victorian properties. The complete trip takes about an hour and costs $50 per person (4-person minimum) Weather permitting; we try to do this daily at 5:30 PM and weekends at 10:00 AM. Reservations are always necessary. The Special can also be hired, by the hour, at $200/hour for trips to Ithaca, around the lake, wineries, or whatever your pleasure. We carry a maximum of six passengers.
